Wakefield Trinity Wildcats often shortened to Wakey, Trinity or Wildcats is a professional rugby league club formed in 1873, that plays in the Super League. The Wildcats play their home games in the 10,000 capacity Bel Vue Stadium, Chester Road, Wakefield, their home since 1895. They were one of the initial 22 clubs to form the Northern Union after the acrimonious split from the Rugby Football Union in 1895. The club is currently awaiting a decision on if they will have a purpose built new stadium built for them at Thornes Park by the local Council.

White and Red Jersey

Wakefield Trinity Wildcats wear strip of white shirts with red edging, blue shorts and white socks for home games and the away strip is red and blue striped shirts with white stripes on the right sleeve, blue shorts and socks. The shirt has been worn by such stalwarts in the game as: Henry Paul, Bobbie Goulding, Gareth Ellis and Willie Poching.

Wildcats have not won any honours in the Super league era to-date, however in the previous era they have been winners of the Championship in 1966-67 and 1967-68, Challenge Cup 1908-09, 1945-46, 1959-60, 1961-62 and 1962-63, plus the Yorkshire Cup in 1910-11, 1924-25, 1946-47, 1947-48, 1951-52, 1956-57, 1960-61, 1961-62, 1964-65 and 1992-93. Plus the Yorkshire League in 1909-10, 1910-11, 1945-46, 1958-59, 1959-60, 1961-62 and 1962-63, also the Division One title in 1998.
