St.Helens away win keeps them top

The Saints took full advantage of Michael Mcllorum’s dismissal to thrash12-man derby rivals Wigan. With first half tries from Lee Gilmour, Keiron Cunningham, then a Wigan try by Thomas Leuluai converted by Cameron Phelps closed the gap. But Saints were soon scoring again as James Roby went over on 29 minutes. Then the half was closed out with a try to Ade Gardner and half time score of 6-22
The second half and Saints turned the screw even further with scores to Ade Gardner, Jon Wilkin, Matt Gidley and Sean Long . Sean Long also kicked 6 from 7. Wigan did post a consolation try by Mickey Higham but it was just a token gesture. Final score:
