The NSW squad has been changed extensively to try and stop Queensland from winning all three games. New to the team are props Jason King (Manly), Kade Snowden (Cronulla) and Tim Mannah (Parramatta), as well as goalkicking winger Michael Gordon (Penrith). Older players have been swapped for younger ones and apart from Trent Barrett all the NSW team are less than 30 years old.

Qld Maroons Team

Billy Slater, Darius Boyd, Greg Inglis, Willie Tonga, Israel Folau, Darren Lockyer (capt), Johnathon Thurston, Matthew Scott, Cameron Smith, Petero Civoniceva, Nate Myles, Sam Thaiday, Ashley Harrison. Interchange: Cooper Cronk, David Shillington, Neville Costigan, David Taylor, Ben Lowe. This side has minimal change from game 2 with Petero Civoniceva returning from injury replacing Ben Hannant.
