Players to look out for at the World Cup
We have been reading what all the pundits have to say and from this have thought you would like to see who are the players rated as those most likely to set the competition alight with their skills, power and pace. The 5 are:
Greg Inglis Australia (Kangaroos)
If you like a wager he could be worth a punt as the tournament top try scorer. Blessed with pace and a wicked hand off this rangy player can slot in anywhere from fullback to stand-off.
Benji Marshall New Zealand (Kiwis)
Benji is another worth a punt for a few man of the match awards. Look out for his devastating sidestep, and defence beating no-look pass and kicking game. Only worry is he is susceptible to injuries.
Leon Pryce England
Leon is the full package and the St. Helens powerhouse will be a key weapon in the English armoury. He is a real game breaker with all the skills allied to remarkable pace and the power of a forward. Another bet for top try scorer and also plenty of man of the match awards.
Stanley Gene Papua New Guinea
Stanley has been around the top levels of the game for what seems and eternity. He is still a major force in the National side and if he is on form expect them to play well. He will be a blunt weapon against any defence, forget speed and deception he will run through sides all day. Long odds for top try.
FuiFui Moimoi Samoa
Fui is another powerhouse player who will destroy defences with brute force. Take him out of the game and Samoa may struggle but get him on the front foot and the rest of the team will be lifted and follow. Another long odds for top try. Certainly will feature in man of the match awards.
