Mark Calderwood has been called up to England’s World Cup team to face Australia in Melbourne on Sunday. The 26 year old winger replaces Lee Smith, who has failed to recover from a foot injury sustained during England’s 32-22 victory over Papua New Guinea.

Australia will stay with the same XIII that beat New Zealand 30-6 if Johnathan Thurston recovers from the shoulder injury he sustained against the Kiwis.

One change for the Kangaroos is on the subs bench, with Karmichael Hunt replacing the injured Kurt Gidley.
