The New Zealand National Rugby League Team who are known as the Kiwis or All Gold's, played their first international match against Wales on the 1st January 1908 in Aberdare, Wales winning 8-9. The team competes in the World Cup, and plays regular fixtures against Great Britain and Australia

Black with White Jerseys

The Kiwis play their home games in black shirts with a white V, white shorts and black socks. The shirt features the Kiwi motif on the left breast. The shirt has been worn to 12 Rugby League World cups since 1954 and although never in winning it has been seen at the finals in 1988 and 2000. New Zealand has been granted automatic qualification to the 2008 World Cup. Probably the best known player to wear the shirt for UK fans is Robbie Paul, though Lance Todd will be known as well for the trophy that bears his name and presented to the man of the match in the Challenge Cup final.

Kiwi Rugby League

The All Gold's are usually ranked second or third behind the dominant Kangaroos of Australia and just above or below close rivals Great Britain.
