Leeds extend their lead in the Super League
Leeds won a hard fought game against Warrington at Headingley on Friday night. Leading 8-6 at half time and showing no signs of running away with the game at this stage. Leeds first half points came from a try by Scott Donald converted by Sinfield, following an earlier try to Warrington by Louis Anderson, converted by Hicks. Leeds secured the lead for the first time when Sinfield kicked a penalty in injury time.
The second half and Leeds showed great character as the makeshift side produced further tries through Donald’s second, Ablett, Burrow and Burgess with Sinfield adding points and a tally of 6 kicks through the game. Warrington had a late consolation try to Hicks which he converted. This was an important win for Leeds following the reverse at home to Wigan last weekend. Final score:
