The shirts are manufactured by ISC the major League shirt manufacturer and their logo is in the upper middle chest, whilst the main club sponsor Leeds Building Society is on the torso and the Leeds motif on the left chest, with Berrys on the right.
Predictions for Leeds Rhinos Rugby League in 2012

The Rhinos have a proud record in all competitions with a couple of wins in the World Club Challenge in 2005 and 2008. The have won the Challenge Cup 11 times, but not since 1999. Though they made the final since then in 2000, 2003, 2005 as well as 2010 and 2011.
Leeds Rhinos will look to go one better this season in the Carnegie Challenge Cup, having gone down 18-28 to Wigan in the 2011 final. We expect them to still been in contention but to go out in the Semi-Finals this season over the weekend of 7/8 July.

The Rhinos will be looking to repeat their performance of 2011 when they took the Super League crown with a powerful display in beatingt St Helens 32-18 on the 8 October at Old Trafford Stadium in Manchester. That was their sixth appearance in the last 10 years and they were able to emulate the wins in 2004,2007,2008 and 2009. By doing it again in 2011. We see them being in contention and taking the crown again in 2012.

Predictions

Super League 2012: Champions
Challenge Cup 2012: Losing Semi-finalists

2013 World Cup Prediction for New Zealand Rugby League

New Zealand who are the current World Champions, having won the cup in Australia in 2008. Will hope to repeat this feat in England and Wales 2013. They along with England are the only realistic opposition to Australia who will probably go into the Cup as favourites. England. because they are on home soil. The Kiwis who have their home League team performing well in the NRL will need to improve on their 2011 4 Nations performance when they lost to Australia and England and missed out on a place in the final.

2013 World Cup Prediction for Australia Rugby League

Australia are still the most successful International team, having won the cup 9 times out of a possible 13 and even though the World Cup is still some time off we see them coming into the tournament as firm favourites. England and New Zealand being the only two nations who could conceivable beat them. England because they are on home soil and New Zealand because they did it last time out in Australia.

The Rugby League World Cup in 2013 will follow a similar pattern to the Union one in 2007 as games are shared around England, Wales, France and Ireland. The joint hosts are England and Wales.

Matches will be played in 18 different stadiums, with those hosting the semi’s and final to be announced in 2012, though the strong favourite for the final is Old Trafford which would be a sell-out.

League is gaining popularity in France and Ireland, though it still struggles against Union in Wales the matches should see good crowds in the chosen venues of: Limerick (Ireland), Avignon and Perpignan (France), and Neath and Wrexham (Wales).

Tournament director Nigel Wood said: “We are excited the tournament will visit established rugby league venues and also some new locations, It is quite well known that the sport is particularly strong in France, but not so much the progress it has made in Ireland over the last five years. Limerick recently hosted an international against France and it went well, the enthusiasm for rugby league in that part of the world is overwhelming.”

The quarter-finals venues are: Headingley, Wrexham, Warrington and Wigan.

Nigel Wood said the bidding process had been competitive. “We experienced massive interest in hosting matches from all across Europe and we have had to make some tough decisions. The new locations give us unique opportunities to grow the game and deliver a lasting legacy for our sport. It has been a fantastic and inspiring bidding process and we have been extremely impressed with the quality, detail and diverse nature of the host bids received.”

Full List Stadiums

Avignon, Bristol, Halifax, Huddersfield, Hull (KC Stadium and Craven Park), Leeds, Leigh, Limerick, Perpignan, Neath, Rochdale, Salford, St Helens, Warrington, Whitehaven, Wigan, Wrexham

Hosting Locations

Bolton, Bradford, Manchester, Preston, Widnes and Workington will act as hosts, providing training camps.

Woods also added: “There are 14 great nations competing in this World Cup and two of those; Italy and the USA, have only qualified in the last month or so. The fact those two teams beat countries like Lebanon, Serbia, South Africa and Jamaica to qualify demonstrates the benchmark at entry level is pretty high. It is the essence of sport that you will get a few surprise results in the competition, that would be terrific.”

Harlequins RL are to go back to the name London Broncos next season.

After six years as the Harlequins RL, the club will play in Super League XVII as the Broncos, but remain at The Stoop.

Club Chairman David Hughes said: “It is a name that resonates with success on the pitch, which is what we want next season, I have committed to the club for the next three years during this Super League licence period. We will work hard to retain it in three years’ time.”

The club have had seven seasons at The Stoop, but have been actively working with the Rugby Football League to find a new playing venue of their own.

For the 2012 season, home games will still be played at The Stoop, with a couple of games scheduled to be played elsewhere as they try to capture a wider audience in the capitol. Discussions are also ongoing about a modified three-year agreement to remain at Harlequins’ long-time home.

The return to the Broncos name will also mean a change of strip.

“The home kit will be black, with a bright blue trim, and the new away strip will be the reverse – bright blue trimmed with black.”

It looks like many fans will be happy to see the name return. As Gus Mackay said: “We engaged with fans and stakeholders and included as many people as possible in the rebrand process so as to take on board everybody’s views. The fans and players mostly pointed towards a return to the London Broncos and their ideas are reflected within the brand concept. This relaunch provides us with a unique opportunity to target a new audience and raise awareness. We are committed to making Super League a success story in London.”

Coach Rob Powell added: “We have invested heavily in the team over the off-season and we are all really excited about pre-season and getting ready for next year. “Going back to being the London Broncos is a great move. The players and playing staff are all behind it and it’s an opportunity for a new start under an old name.”

We look forward to bringing you the new kit as soon as it is launched, so watch this space.

On the whole, we are probably disappointed with our performance. We are not devastated by any means, there was some positive stuff. (end quote)

Jamie Peacock will captain the England Rugby league team that was announced and now includes seven Leeds players from the winning squad in the Grand Final of the Super League. Saints supply the next highest number with 4 and Warrington who had a very good season in 2011 3.

The rest of the squad who will play France in a warm-up game on 21 October before meeting Australia, New Zealand and Wales in the Four Nations sees 2 from Hull, 1 from Castleford, 1 from Huddersfield, 2 from Wests Tigers, 2 from Wigan, 1 from Brisbane and 1 from Melbourne.

We would expect that this outfit will be far to strong for the French and in the Four Nations will beat Wales but we do not feel they will have the power to take out either Australia of New Zealand.

Sat 08 Oct 18:00 St. Helens 16-32 Leeds Rhinos Old Trafford Manchester

<h2Predictions

We called it correctly though for a while it looked like we would get it wrong. Score was tight at half time with a goal for Saints to a goal and converted Burrows try 2-8.
Saints then recovered and went into the lead at 16-8. But Rhinos came back strongly and pulled away to take a comfortable victory. It was a shame about the weather, but it did not detract from another excellent Grand Final.

Honours for Leeds Rhinos Rugby League

Leeds Rhinos meet St Helens on the 8 October at Old Trafford Stadium in Manchester to compete for the Grand Final of the Super League 2011. This is their sixth appearance in the last 10 years and they will be looking to emulate the wins in 2004,2007,2008 and 2009. What do you think can they do it again in 2011?

The Rhinos have a proud record in all competitions with a couple of wins in the World Club Challenge in 2005 and 2008. The have won the Challenge Cup 11 times, but not since 1999. Though they made the final since then in 2000, 2003, 2005 as well as 2010 and 2011.
