Featherstone Rovers are a professional rugby league club, based in Featherstone, West Yorkshire. Featherstone Rovers club was formed in the Railway Hotel in 1902 and reformed in 1906. The club were originally made up of local miners and between 1912-3 played at the Featherstone Main Colliery Welfare ground. They now play their home games in the 6,750 capacity Chris Moyles Stadium, previously known as Post Office Road. The club is also known as Fev or The Colliers, in recognition of the local history of coal mining.
Dark Blue and White Jersey
Rovers play their home games in dark blue and white hooped shirts, with blue shorts and socks. The away colours are black shirts with blue tops to the arms, black shorts and socks. The colours have been donned for many honours in the past, but in 2008 the colours will grace Division One.
The Rovers have won the Challenge Cup 3 times, in 1966-67, 1972-73 and 1982-83; and in 1976-77 won the Championship. They have also been runners up in the Challenge Cup in 1951-52 and 1973-74, as well as Championship Runners-Up in 1927-28.
