Challenge Cup third-round draw

The Challenge Cup third-round draw has been completed after a glitch when it had to be redone after one of the balls was mistakenly replaced in the bag after being drawn out.

The 36 sides in the draw have the incentive of a potential tie against one of the 14 Super League sides.

However, Cumbrian amateurs Wath Brow Hornets face a big test against Championship club Leigh Centurions. whilst Keighley have French opposition for the second successive year, after disposing of Pia in 2009, they face a tougher proposition against Toulouse.

Welsh champions Blackwood Bulldogs’ reward for their away win over Edinburgh Eagles is a trip to Oldham.

Blackwood chairman Andrew Smith said: (quote) It is another tough tie but we will go up there with confidence as we want to pull off a shock and bring a Super League side to Glan-yr-Afon Park. (end quote)

The ties will all be played over the weekend of 6 and 7 March.
