Centenary test result
Well at half-time it looked all over as the Kangaroos had moved out to a 22-0 lead through tries from Paul Gallen, Cameron Smith and two to Mark Gasnier.
The second half and the Kiwis restored some pride as they scored through Iosia Soliola, only for Australia to hit back through Israel Folau . Then on 80 minutes New Zealand got their second try through Sam Perrett. For the Aussies Jonathan Thurston kicked four goals whilst Issac Luke converted both the Kiwi tries. The game was watched by 34,500 in the Sydney Cricket Ground, the venue for the first match in 1908, which was won by new Zealand 11-10. Final scores:
