Thirty two amateur clubs play this weekend as they set off on the road to Wembley in the first round of the Carnegie Challenge Cup.

The pick of tomorrow’s 15 preliminary-round ties is a Cumbrian derby between Wath Brow Hornets, who reached the fourth round four years ago, and Millom.

Sunday sees just one match which is between West London Sharks and The Army – one of three armed services teams involved in the Cup.

Clubs from the Co-operative Championships and representatives from Russia and France will enter the competition at the third-round stage with the engage Super League teams joining in the fourth round.
